Service Dog program

  • health / A best Friend

Having a service dog can significantly improve mental health by reducing anxiety, loneliness, and stress through constant companionship and predictable routines; their presence offers emotional grounding during panic and provides immediate tactile comfort that lowers physiological stress, and helps rebuild confidence and independence by supporting daily tasks and social engagement. These animals also promote structure through regular exercise and care and encourage safe social interaction, all of which contribute to improved mood, resilience, and overall quality of life. Having your dog by your side all the time brings unmatched companionship, constant emotional support, and a steady source of joy and play. Their loyalty and intuitive presence provide comfort during tough moments and amplify everyday pleasures—making life richer, healthier, and more fun.

  • Safety

When trained in protection, a service dog becomes a reliable, calm guardian that enhances safety for you and your family in any setting — at home, in public, or while traveling. These dogs learn to assess threats, provide a controlled physical barrier, and alert you to danger, allowing you to maintain control of situations with confidence. Beyond immediate defense, a professionally trained protection service dog can deter potential threats through presence alone, assist in de-escalation, and offer the steadying emotional support that helps family members feel secure wherever you go.

Many folks have a need for a well trained Service Dog. Dogs in fact have been in service to man since God created the Dog. They ease support and assist those with mental and or physical challenges. Our Service dog program runs a minimum of 8 weeks and involves traveling with your dog and getting your dog used to staying in a Hotel. At the end of our program your dog will have the foundational work laid to be a Service Dog.

If you or a loved one has a need for a Service Dog, contact us here at Liberty Dog Camp and tell us of your needs. We then will assist you in obtaining and training your dog.
